Who is Max A Pooch?
Max A Pooch is the black Labrador retriever who does what most people won't. He picks up litter and puts it in a container, proving that reducing litter is so easy even a dog can do it.
Max A Pooch has been on TV, his sidekick keith has been on talk radio speaking for Max, and together they make personal appearances discussing litter and the environment.

Ed Begley Jr is an entertainer and an environmental activist who travels to Hollywood functions riding a bicycle.
Riding a bicyle impresses many Hollywood people and according to his web site they consider him their environmental leader.
Ed has won many awards for his activism and works hard to be a good environmentalist.
Let's compare who is greener, Max or Ed.
Ed needs a bicycle to travel to Hollywood events.
Max can walk to Hollywood events.
Ed needs to wear clothes.
Max doen't need clothes
Ed needs shoes

Ed needs shelves to hold his awards
Max has no awards so he needs no shelves
Ed needs sinks, indoor plumbing and toilets.

The winner is?
I think Max A Pooch wins hands-down. Ed Begley Jr is a low environmental impact human. Unfortunately he is a human and makes a much bigger footprint on the earth than even four of Max A Pooch's paw prints make.
Finally, Max spends his days sleeping, eating and picking up litter. These activities cause llittle environmental impact, and picking up litter helps the environment.
Ed Begley Jr goes to Hollywood functions, and picks up awards. There are activities that are not critical and create more environmentatl impact than sleeping.Ed also owns a bicycle which has metal, rubber and plactic parts. These items have much more negative impact on the environment than having no bicycle.
The final conclusion.

Laura, Max would never be elected president. He is more transparent than any politician ever was, is, or will be. You know exactly what he is feeling by how he wags or doesn't wag his toe. Politicans wag their mouths and you don't know what they mean.
Dear Keith well it looks like Ed needs a shovel , and or leaf blower ,to get out of that dust ball he's in....From Max running circles around him, when it comes to speed and agility,and the under-standing of how important it is to to take a bite out of this mess some of the humans have created on this Great Earth!!! what a Super Pooch!! I once interviewed Ed and his lovely wife for an hour on my weekly talk show I hosted. He's the real deal and funny as hell too. So I call it a tie!
