My Winter Coat Keeps Me Warm, but When Warm Weather Arrives I Want to be Rid of IT!
I wanted to get rid of my winter coat by the time flowers were in bloom.
Neither I or My Humans Want A Lengthy Shedding Period.
Let’s face it, once warm weather comes I want to rid myself of my winter coat as quickly as my humans want to see it go. We have different reasons for our desires. The reason I want get rid of the fur that keeps me warm in the cold months is that once warm weather arrives it is like walking around in winter clothes. It’s dog gone hot and uncomfortable.
My humans want me to get rid of winter fur because they find it all over our house, and for some reason they don’t like it.So, despite the different reasons for getting rid of all that winter,,, fur my humans and I are in agreement that it must go.
It Really Really Worked!
We Never Found A Satisfactory DeShedding Tool.
Frankly I was quite disappointed with the performance of the brushes my human purchased and used on me. Some were designed to brush my fur not to be used as deshedding tools. Others that were supposed to be deshedding tools were ineffective. Some were about as ineffective as a springy leaf rake is in removing thatch from my human’s yard
.
When humans wish to remove thatch from their lawns they get the right tool. That’s what my human did when he finally bought a Furminator deshedder at the pet store. I was with him and was hoping he would take a look at that particular tool. Lola a chic yellow Lab had told me about this product, and said she loved it when it her human used it. She said he literally removed more of her dog hair in ten minutes than he use to remove in an hour, and that in no time she was cool and comfortable.
The moment the tool touched me I knew this was a superior grooming device!
Over $60 for A Dog Brush?
She warned me that my human might shy away from spending over sixty dollars on what he would perceive as a dog brush. She told me that if I was with him I should try to get him to test the Furminator on me.
That is exactly what I did. When he picked up the brush I wagged my tail and rubbed against his leg. He said to me, “Okay Max. I am going to take this Furminator out of its container and try it on you. If It’s half as good as they say I will buy it, even thought they want $63 for it.
It Truly Worked!
Both my human and I were amazed as he brushed short strokes and with each stroke the Furminator had a load of hair attached to its teeth. Then my human easily removed the hair from the tool by pushing a button that cause the fur to fall off.
Despite the fact my human had been grooming me regularly ever since I adompted him, neither one of us ever saw a grooming tool work so well. He took the package and the tool to the cash register and plunked down $63 plus tax.
They Make Them for Big Shaggy Dogs and Little Short Hair Dogs...and Even Cats!
If you want your human to buy you a Furminator just have him go to a pet store such as Petco or Petsmart or any reputable store that sells high quality pet supplies. My Furminator is for big dogs with short hair because I am a Lab. But they have Furminators for Big Dogs with long hair. Dogs with short hair, and even cats.
If your human tries one out on you let me know what you think of the product. Me, I think it is one of the few things in life I have found that is as good as advertised.
I give it a rating of five tail wags.

From Beauregard the Border Collie, I have a furminator as well and I really like it. It's amazing how much fur it gets out and it doesn't take long. When I first saw the huge pile of fur, I thought to myself wow there's enough fur there to make a whole new dog. Thank you for this great hub and like you,I highly recommend the furminator.
